1st Upper Manistee River Clean Sweep - 2011 - September 24th-2011

CANCELED DUE TO RAIN

There will be 3 groups.

One group of 6 TAPC people and 2 groups of 6 4H people each.
*
Everyone will meet at the Burger King in Kalkaska at 9:00am - SHARP.
Detailed instruction sheets will be passed out for each group.

Boone will get a separate instruction sheet.
*
Boone will bring 2 groups of 6 they will assigned and in the right cars.
*
12 - 6" SUBWAY sandwichs will be provided by the BRCS for the 4-H people.
The TAPC people should bring a lunch.
Everyone should bring their own water in trail bottles.

Some cars may be left at the Burger King and people will be asked to carpool.
*
Below, find what group you will be in and then read that instruction.
To avoid confusion, disregard the rest.

The 612 to Long's Livery group will be led by David Fred.
They will be shuttled by Mrs. Long.

The Long's Livery to M72 group will be led by Fred and Judy Swartz.
They will be shuttled by Shel-Haven.
This is the shortest section.

The M72 to Yellow Trees will be led Jocelyn.
Their shuttle will be done by Norm.
This is the longest section.

The Yellow Trees to CCC Bridge will be led by Norm.
Their shuttle will be done by Frank Lahde.
This is a mostly TAPC member group.
This has the longest and most difficult shuttle.

Boone will follow David to the 612 Bridge and drop 3 canoes there.
Then he will go to Long's Livery and drop 3 canoes there.
Then he will go to M72 and drop off his truck and trailer.

Frank will wait at M72 for his team to drop off all the boats.
****** Frank will NOT go to the putin with Norm and the others until later.
Norm will drop off the 4 BRCS canoes at M72 and take the trailer to Yellow Trees.
Norm will drop off the trailer at Yellow Trees.
Norm will bring Jocelyn and her drivers back to M72.
Frank will follow Norm and the others to CCC Bridge.
Frank will bring Norm and the others back to Yellow Trees.
Norm will attach the BRCS trailer to Frank's car.
Frank will leave his car at Yellow Trees for Boone to use.
Norm and the others will bring all their boats back to M72 on the cars left at the CCC.
Norm will come back to M72 to get the trailer and so Frank can get his car.
The CCC Bridge trash will be left in a DNR dumpster there.

All remaining trash will be taken back to Kalkaska DNR office at State Police Post.

Digital cameras will be available for each group to get some photos of the event.
