Boardman River Clean Sweep
Jack's Landing Toilet Report
Boardman River Near Cass and Keystone
July 15, 2019

This toilet was needed after the dam site became a canoe and fishing access on the Boardman. No
money had been allocated for it, so the BRCS sought grants and donations to help build it.

Dana and Casey Cowell were the first to donate and then the Michigan Fly Fishing Club gave us
a grant. The GT County chipped in for the vault and lid and the DNR reworked one of their old
buildings for us to use. The Grand Traverse Conservation District helped with governmental contacts.
Jack Robbins, the nice old guy who the landing is named for, actually graded the property for us.

Bill Hislop painted a nice scene for the interior and Harold Lassers made a great copy of it to be framed.

Norm Fred built a lockable handwashing station box for three toilets and installed them.

Our thanks go out to those who helped us and to those who encouraged us to continue when we ran
into problems. That so many of you wanted this facility made it even more important for us to do it.
