************************************************************* ** Boardman River Clean Sweep © - 2010 Plan ** *************************************************************

The 2010 Boardman River Clean Sweep will be led by members of the
Traverse Area Paddle Club
All NON-TAPC participants must sign or, if a minor, have a parent or guardian sign the Release of Liability Waiver.

The main cleanup event is scheduled for June 5th, 2010. There will be a second downtown section
cleanup during the NCF on July 9th which may include members of the public and tourists.

All participants BUT the downtown crew will meet at Scheck's landing at 9:00am on Saturday June 5th.
The Downtown crew will meet at the HULL PARK just behind the library at 9:30.

This year, Steve Largent of the Grand Traverse Conservation District, has identified several areas which are
upstream of the Forks area which are in need of cleaning. The Kingsley High School 4H Challenge Club will
be assisting us. This is their second year doing this event and we are very happy to have them help. Also, the
East Middle School 8th graders will be volunteering to help.

Funding for T-shirts and an appreciation picnic has been obtained.

The upsteam areas, as well as the regular sections of the river that we have always cleaned will
be done. As before, trails, bridges and landings along the river will be cleaned.

This year we will attempt to recycle as much trash as we can. American Waste has kindly donated
2 dumpsters for that purpose and we will bring all the trash to the Nature Center to be sorted.

Raffle prizes are obtained and ticket sales have been done.

We hope to have a larger and better BRCS this year.

Please feel free to email or call Norm Fred at the address below if you have any questions.

The BRCS would appreciate any support you can offer.
