Spring Lake Recon Report - Project #4

Today, Red Ratliff took me for short walk to a location in the newly donated Spring Lake Property to be added to the Brown Bridge Quiet Area.

I's a beautiful place but there are several buildings that have collasped and are covered with heavy corrugated galvanized steel roofing sheets
that are held onto the old pole beams with long steel spikes. There are some buried steel sheets and other buried stuff that look like fuel tanks and
parts of sheds that are covered with pine needles that we won't know what in under them until we start to remove them.

Reb wants us to get it all out of there but at this time he nor his crew can help us because the property is owned by the CRA.

I see no way the BRCS can help him since this is not an illegal dumpsite but a demolition site. What will be needed is not a dumpster but people
with heavy equipment and the tools to take these structures apart for removal.

I wrote Reb tell him that the BRCS will not be able to help because our volunteers don't have the experience, strength nor tools to do the job safely
if at all.
