We were happy to be able to use the Consumers Energy Foundation banner they loaned to us for just such occasions.
We had a nice turnout with 14 volunteering to show up for a fun day on this "Two Section" UMR cleanup from M-72 to
Hole in the Wall Landing and from Hole in the Wall Landing to Yellow Trees Landing. That's about 8 miles of river.
It was a beautiful cool and dry early Fall Saturday, but no one else was on the river today.
Marvin Puska drove our shuttle and he got all 7 of us in his truck, so no one had to ride in the bed of his pickup.
The two groups found quite a bit of trash and litter. There were a lot of cans on the floor of the river which were
very difficult to take out but we did our best and we got many of them.
