2023 Project #43

This year, Josh Greenberg at the Gates Lodge asked us to do our cleanup year on the Main Branch from Grayling to Burton's
Landing, some 4 miles downriver. The shuttle and paddle were much easier than the SBR that we had planned to do, so we
were happy to comply. But we found a lot of trash in the river.

We had a nice turnout with 9 volunteering to show up for a fun day on a new section of the AuSable River Main Branch.

Since it was a Saturdday, there were lots of people on the river with us but that just made it more fun and a bit more challenging.

This was a section that had not been cleaned before and we found a lot of trash but after we got to the landing, Mark Miltner
arrived with a boat load of trash that the other 8 of us had missed. He is a super river cleaner and doesn't miss anything.

We made it on time to the Anglers picnic which we all look forward to. THANK YOU ANGLERS of the AUSABLE! Great food and drink.

Josh also lined up a shuttle driver for us in the morning so all our cars would be at the landing when we go there. That was a big help.
