2023 Project #37

Only 5 signed up for this really gorgeous trip and I was secretly happy that had happened.

We paddled from Chase Bridge Landing to the Castle. The river was high and fast and it only
took an hour and a half to do the trip. We had lunch there anyway.

Terry bet Barb that she would get all the trash and we would find none but she missed one beer can
which David found to ruin her record.

Still, it was an amazing display of Terry's ability to spot and remove every piece of trash in the river.

There was very little trash in the river today.

We left our 1/2 bag of trash in the can at the Castle picnic area.

Our work today was partially funded by grants from

The Consumers Energy Foundation

National Cherry Festival Foundation

Adams Chapter Trout Unlimited

And private donors like you.

Our thanks go out to the DNR Office in Grayling for allowing us to access the Castle
so we can load our boats and not have to carry them up that hill to the parking lot.
