On November 3, 2018 the BRCS along with volunteers from the Bethlehem Lutheran
Church and the Exchange Club held an event at the Commons at which we paid the
homeless occupants of the area to bring out trash and camping gear for disposal.

The project was funded by the Exchange Club of Traverse City and we had assistance
from the City Parks and Rec and the City Police Dept.

Wih only three volunteers, we paided $284.00 and the homeless people brought out about
1000 pounds of trash for disposal. That's only $.28 a pound.

The outcome was so successful that we want to try the same project to start the proces
of removing the large amount of trash and abandoned camping gear from behind the Goodwill Inn.

We are requesting input from interested parties to help us make that project successful also.
