About two weeks ago, Renee from the Kalkaska Conservation District led a cleanup on the section from
Smithville Landing to Rainbow Jims Landing. She reported three docks in the river in that section.

Today, I went looking for a way to take those docks out easier than paddling all the way from Smithville.

There are few houses in that section and the roads are not good. BAD is a better description.

I found a few places to use and I reported their locations to Renee.

We may give it a try later in the season.
